⚫︎Learning content
・Listen to each learner's wishes and proceed with study accordingly.
・Depending on the number of people on the day, the students and Japanese language volunteers will basically study one-on-one.
We survey students in advance about their age, hobbies, level of Japanese language, and what they want to focus on studying, and the staff will pair them with Japanese volunteers who can respond to those questions for the day. Volunteers who cannot speak foreign languages can also participate with confidence.
(If you are not compatible with the other person or have any problems, please feel free to let us know. Next time, we will casually change the pair.)
First of all, students are asked to bring their own textbooks and other materials that they would like to study. Or if the volunteer has their own text, you can use it.
There are many people who want to study mainly through conversation, but in such cases, you don't have to have any textbooks, just have a free conversation and you'll be fine.
Even if you're not confident in your conversation skills, I think it's easy to bring in newspaper clippings or internet articles and have a free conversation about a certain topic.
Some volunteers bring things like writing utensils, notepads, world maps, and dictionaries.
Most of the time so far has been focused on conversation, so even if you're a beginner volunteer, you'll be fine as you're learning while having fun chatting.
The first thing you need is a desire to talk to people from other countries!
